Cricket World Cup 2023 Rules and Regulations
The 13th edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is scheduled to get underway on October 5. India is the sole host of this World Cup, unlike previous editions in which it was co-host. The list of the top ten countries, among the initial 32 countries battling for the title, has been finalised.
Most countries have announced their squads, while a few are yet to be announced. While the teams gear up for the matches, cricket enthusiasts worldwide are excited for the once-in-a-four-year event. ICC has laid out the rules and regulations to be followed throughout all the tournaments.
Said rules include instructions on different aspects of the game, including the selection process of the top 10 countries, the point system, tie-breakers, umpire decisions, fielding restrictions, and powerplays. There is a new directive regarding DRS as well.
